Legal conditions – Non-approved DB-Killer
LEGAL WARNING: MODIFIED DB-KILLER NOT APPROVED (Use strictly reserved for private tracks or closed circuits)
WHY ARE OUR DB-KILLER NOT APPROVED?
Currently, DBCLIP only offers baffles (DB Killers) that are not approved for use on public roads . These products undergo a structural modification to their mounting system , making them incompatible with current homologation standards .
Non-compliant technical modifications:
-
Non-standard fixing system Our baffles use a custom fixing method (specific clamps, non-certified welds, or non-approved adapters) different from the systems validated by the ECE R41-04 standard (European regulation on exhaust systems).
-
Absence of CE/E marking: Approved baffles must bear a CE marking followed by an approval number (e.g., e11 for Germany). Our products do not display this marking because the modifications made render them ineligible for road certification .
-
Non-compliance with mandatory tests: Approved parts undergo laboratory testing (mechanical resistance, sealing, noise level). Our baffles have not been tested according to these protocols , as they are intended for off-road use .
LEGAL CONSEQUENCES OF ROAD USE
In France and in the European Union
Using an unapproved DB-Killer on public roads can result in immediate penalties:
